SNIP-AFRICA presented at REVIVE webinar: Clinical trial platforms for new and neglected antimicrobials

On 20 September 2023, the Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP) hosted a REVIVE webinar focusing on clinical trial platforms for new and neglected antimicrobials. The webinar was organised in collaboration with Ecraid and moderated by Marc Bonten, professor of molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases at University Medical Centre Utrecht.

At the webinar, Julia Bielicki, the project coordinator for SNIP-AFRICA, gave an overview of the project’s objectives and its planned activities. In her presentation, she emphasised SNIP-AFRICA’s ambitious goal of establishing a research infrastructure to address multiple primary questions related to antibiotic management of neonatal sepsis within one group of sites, all operating under one core protocol with multiple associated domains.

SNIP-AFRICA offers a unique opportunity to conduct gold-standard clinical trials using a flexible approach, allowing for adaptations to emerging evidence and antibiotics of interest.

This webinar saw an impressive turnout of 179 live attendees from 51 countries worldwide. In case you missed it, you can watch the recording below and download the slide set (slides 46-70).
